Katrín Jakobsdóttir, former Prime Minister of Iceland, played a key role in shaping her country’s policies, with a strong focus on sustainability and social responsibility. This April, in Tivat, attendees of the ESG Adria Summit will have the opportunity to hear her perspective firsthand.
“While global challenges like climate change and economic shifts may sometimes feel abstract, Katrín reminds us that these issues are ultimately about people. The decisions made by leaders like her have tangible effects on communities, families, and future generations. Her work in Iceland went beyond legislation—it fostered a culture of sustainability and inclusivity. That’s why we are so pleased to welcome her to our summit in Montenegro,” said Biljana Braithwaite, the event’s director.
At the ESG Adria Summit, Jakobsdóttir will discuss how ESG issues shape everyday life, particularly for the most vulnerable.
“This summit is more than just a chance to hear from an influential leader. It’s an opportunity for all of us to reflect on what we can do in our own communities to promote sustainability and social balance. How can we, like Katrín, use our roles to drive meaningful change? The summit serves as a reminder that we all have a part to play in shaping the future,” Braithwaite added.
The event will take place from April 9 to 11 in Porto Montenegro, bringing together participants from around the world. “Once again, Montenegro is in the spotlight for its dedication to sustainable development,” organizers noted. The summit is organized by Sustineri Partners and Porto Montenegro, in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro and under the patronage of the President of Montenegro.
