Sustainability in maritime transport is no longer a vision—it is a necessity. At this year’s ESG Adria Summit, our partner, the Petrović Njegoš Foundation will showcase their innovative solution: the Eco-Boat, an extraordinary vessel powered by compressed air. This cutting-edge project demonstrates how clean technology can revolutionise transport while protecting our waterways.

Eco-Boat Demonstration Programme

9 April, 16:30 – Press conference and live demonstration, right in front of the hotel Regent venue
10 April, 11:10 - 11:55 - The official presentation of the EKOMED project
10-11 April – The Eco-Boat stand remains open from 10:00 to 17:00

Additionally, a dedicated EKOMED project presentation will be held during the Summit for up to 50 attendees, offering deeper insights into this sustainable initiative.

Further, the Foundation is planning a fundraising campaign to support the purchase of an Eco-Boat and technical equipment. If successful, the boat will be donated to Skadar Lake National Park, contributing to the conservation efforts in the region.

Why is the Eco-Boat Important?

The Eco-Boat is a pontoon-style transport barge designed for passenger, freight, and waste transport, offering an efficient and sustainable alternative to conventional vessels.

Key Features:

Shallow-water navigation – The pontoon structure enables easy docking and movement in shallow areas.
High stability and durability – Its wide berth and flat bottom ensure a safe, shock-resistant ride.
Low operating costs – More economical and easier to maintain than traditional boats.
Compressed-air propulsion – Powered by two 50CV compressed-air motors, using 2 x 200-litre 350-bar air cylinders, achieving speeds of 6 knots.

Mobile Energy Station: Off-Grid Sustainability

Supporting the Eco-Boat is a mobile service station, designed to provide off-grid energy and air refills, ensuring continuous operation in remote locations.

Mobile Station Features:

100 kWh energy storage for uninterrupted power supply.
Quick-recharge pistol, refuelling boats in just 5 minutes.
50KVA Air Generator for powering electric motors or supplying mobile electricity for security, craftsmen, and isolated sites.
On-board compressor for air refilling via a standard socket.
Air-electric or 100% air van for sustainable transport solutions.
