Montenegro will host the third edition of the ESG Adria Summit, taking place from April 9th to 11th, 2025, at Porto Montenegro, Tivat. This is the largest regional event dedicated to sustainable development, innovation, future business models, and the ESG agenda. Over the past two years, the Summit has established itself as a key business platform for connecting leaders, showcasing the best ESG and sustainable business practices, building sustainable business strategies, forming partnerships, and launching initiatives that shape the green transition, sustainable finance, and the circular economy of the region.

The ESG Adria Summit is organised by Sustineri Partners and Porto Montenegro, in partnership with the Government of Montenegro and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro. This year, the Summit will bring together more than 700 participants from Europe and around the world, including high-level officials, international and regional business leaders, sustainable development experts, representatives from financial institutions, energy companies, banks, startups, international organizations, media, and academia.

As one of the largest business events in Southeast Europe, the ESG Adria Summit offers a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss key topics such as renewable energy sources, sustainable finance, social changes through the lens of sustainable business models, artificial intelligence development, and sustainable innovation. At the same time, the event serves as a platform for establishing numerous partnerships and launching initiatives that drive the ESG agenda in regional economies.

For the first time, this year’s ESG Adria Summit will feature the Sustainability Adria Awards, which recognize and celebrate exceptional contributions to sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and responsible corporate governance in the Adria region. The awards will honour individuals, companies, and initiatives that have set standards for innovation and sustainable practices, while also significantly improving the business environment through their commitment to these values.

The awards application is an opportunity for companies and individuals to highlight their contributions and position themselves as leaders in sustainability. Additionally, the awards for effective implementation of ESG standards in strategies enable companies to stand out as frontrunners of change in their industries, gain recognition in the region, and further promote and improve their activities.

Applications for the awards, which will celebrate the most significant achievements in sustainability, will be evaluated by an expert jury comprising leading global experts. Among the judges are Robert Spano, Chairman of the  Panel of Jury, Partner at Gibson & Dunn law firm and former President of the European Court of Human Rights, Prince Nikola Petrović Njegoš, Heir to the Petrović dynasty and President of the Petrović Njegoš Foundation, and Annette Kroeber-Riel, Vice President for Government Affairs and Public Policy for Europe at Google. The panel of judges also includes Uranik Begu, Director for Central and Eastern Europe at Plug and Play Tech Center, Richard Burrett, Associate at the University of Cambridge and Founder of Cambridge Social Impact Consulting (CSIC), Lada Buševac, Head of IFC’s Brussels office, and Aleksandra Njagulj, Co-Founder of Sustineri Partners and expert in sustainable investments.

Applications for the Sustainable Adria Awards are open until February 15th, 2025. Finalists will be announced in March, and the awards ceremony will take place during the ESG Adria Summit from April 9th to 11th, 2025, in Tivat, Porto Montenegro.
